The anti-lock brake system or ABS control module, which is also known as the electronic brake control module (EBCM) or electronic brake module (EBM) functions similar to an engine control computer. This CPU of the car gets input from the sensors to prevent the lock-up of the wheels and therefore prevent chances of slipping by regulating the hydraulic braking pressure.
